Linux system administration

In this class participants learn the basics of professional Linux system administration. We cover system architecture, the Linux kernel, daemons and services needed to set up a running, functional environment. We also cover the basics of computer security, including best practices, sources of information and updates.



After the course, the students will:
- Understand and debug Linux architecture
- Work with daemons and the Linux kernel
- Administer groups of Linux machines
- Maintain a basic level of security
